Used Recommendation
For chainsaws and high-branch saws, it is recommended to use a small 5/32" grinding bit for small 3/8P chains.
For chainsaws 325 and large 3/8 chains, it is generally recommended to use a medium 3/16" grinding bit.
For large chainsaws and 404 chains, it is generally recommended to use a large 7/32" grinding bit.

I've hand filed my chainsaws for years and never have done as good a job as this sharpener does. Very easy to use. Fits comfortably in my hand. In the instructions they should tell you to remove the protective cap where the angle guide attachment screws in. Great price!
This unit is more powerful and is able to quickly sharpen my chainsaws. The tips (small round files) are easy to change - easily interchangeable between file diameters/sizes depending on whether I'm sharpening my gas or battery operated chainsaws.
