We have an above ground pool and like the review that I read, does not fit but you can make it work. Thankfully, my husband is a plumber and knows pool so he knew which fittings to get. Easy to install and worth buying it.

We live in the Dallas Metroplex and we get our pool to cool down about 5F degrees, down from 90-91F to about 85-86F, the perfect water temperature for us to enjoy! it is a water fixture, so it does evaporate your water as any other fountain would, but it is worth having to turn your water into a pleasant pond everybody can enjoy during the trying Texas summer heat waves, good luck!
