The propane torch is powerful and gets rid of weeds in rocky areas or tight spaces that are difficult to get to using a weed wacker. It takes some time, and a little trial and error to get used to how to start it and and what the proper flow of propane to use so it does not blow itself out. If you blast the propane af full flow and you are using a standard barbecue grill size propane tank, it may not start or if it does it will not stay lit. I assume that is a safety feature. Once you figure that out that a slow flow if best, it works very well.
